Portrait Unveiling Honors the Joyful, Impactful Life of Marjorie “Margi” Rosenthal

Last year I was commissioned to create a portrait of Dr. Marjorie Rosenthal, a much beloved mentor, pediatrician, writer and mother. The piece was unveiled on January 5 and will hang permanently in the Yale School of Medicine, Harkness Hall.

New Portrait Commission Installed at CSHHC

My new portraits were just installed at Cornell Scott Hill Health Center’s new location in the Q House Building on Dixwell Ave in New Haven (outside their Dental Clinic, of course). The originals will be going up soon at 428 Columbus Avenue in New Haven in the Dental Clinic. The portraits were of staff and patients at CSHHC.

Join me for an interactive conversation about my process of composing a drawing-and give it a try! We’ll take our inspiration from the HCC Sculpture Garden and look at the artworks there as an artist would. You’ll see these sculptures in a whole new way as you draw your own unique compositions.

New Commission on view at CSHHC

If you visit Cornell Scott Hill Health Center at 428 Columbus Avenue in New Have, CT, you’ll see a new painting on the wall. I finished “Neighborhood Rhythm” (oil on canvas, 92″ x 24″) last year- a piece inspired by the interconnected community in New Haven.

CSHHC interviewed me about the piece-you can check it out below. It’s part of their new art program featuring the work of local artists in their clinics.
